Timing of the Programme

A prospective candidate may enrol at any time of the year and apply to write examinations at any time of the year. The work is self-pacing, but the study leader will require that the candidate submit a programme to provide an indication of the time frame involved.

Enrolment Procedure

The candidate first registers his or her intent to complete a Masters Degree with CLT. This involves no initial fee and only the name and contact details are necessary. The candidate receives a candidate reference number at the CLT office and must make an appointment with Dr. Marius Herhold on his cell phone:  082 375 4929 or at CLT (012) 567 7583 or at CTI (012) 543 9404.

At this initial meeting the candidate will 1) indicate his or her preferences for the major field specialization, 2) give details about prior learning to determine entry level requirements, 3) will receive instructions with regards to the enrolment procedureand 4) the compilation of a CV for the candidate's file.

Course Fees

The fees for lecturers are R3,600 for the M.Min. course of max 2 years duration (normal fees R6000) starting in 2000 and is payable as follows:

Successful enrolment:

R1,200   other students R2000

Starting 2nd phase:

R1,200   other students R2000

Applying for final exam:

R1,200   other students R2000

Enrollment Information

When the student is accepted and the enrollment fee of R1200 is received, the student is confirmed as enrolled for the M.Min.programme. No text books are included in the fees. Student enrollment also means that CLT knows who the Study Leader and the External Examiners will be. The External Examiners may be confirmed at a later stage. Text Books

The M.Min. requires a lot of reading from the student. The books to be read are determined by the Study Leader during the first or second meeting. These books should be obtained from the book shops by the student or these must be available from the CLT library for a limited time or be read in another co-operating library.

Bursaries

Lecturers and the Dean of a Bible School registered as a Tuition Centre are required to pay the lower fees as indicated above. Other students (i.e. missionaries) may also apply.
