  Mentored Programs at CLT

Mentoring for the following CU Ministry Programs is offered by CLT Bible Schools:

Certificate in Ministry – 120 credits

Consisting of short courses:

l Certificate in Christian Service   (One Semester completed – 60 credits)

l Certificate in Christian Outreach   (Evangelism only – 12 credits)

Diploma in Ministry – 240 credits total   (The CU Certificate must first be completed)

Consisting of short courses:

l Certificate in Christian Leadership   (Third Semester completed – 60 credits)

l Certificate in Word Ministry   (Only the Fourth Semester completed – 60 credits)

Bachelor of Ministry – 390 credits total  

 

(The CU Diploma must first be completed by the student offering completed short courses to Calvary upon registering with them.
The Bachelor is offered by CU as 8 mentored courses when student have registered with CU: no lectures, guidance and feed-back for assignments at the local level, final evaluation done by CU)

Bachelor of Counselling – 460 credits total

Recommended short courses working towards the CU Bachelor of Counselling:

l Christian Life Certificate   (Selected courses – 109 credits)

l Diploma in Bible-based Counselling   (Selected courses making up 120 credits)

Calvary academic courses supportive of Counselling   (Making up the 240 credits):

l Certificate in Psychology   (Selected courses – 130 credits)

l Diploma in Counselling   (Selected courses making up +110 credits)

Should the Biblical Foundation (109 credits) as well as the Bible-based Counselling (120 credits) be completed, a Bachelor of Counselling with the endorsement in Psychology will be issued by Calvary University with a course weight valuation of 469 credits.

The equivalent of the CU Certificate and Diploma must first be completed. This is offered as a mentored course: no lectures, with guidance and feed-back for assignments at the local level, formative marking done by CLT Mentor Centre.

Note: CLT does not offer any programmes or unit standards. All short courses currently offered, formerly made up the programmes that were accredited by SAQA in 2000 to 2003. CLT exercises its right to support students who have registered at other higher educational institutes in order to earn credits on any level of learning. In doing so, CLT does not act on behalf of any other organisation. CLT does not register students on behalf of any higher institution nor does it issue Certificates, Diplomas nor does it confer degrees of whole programmes.
